India is one of the last continuously living civilizations on earth. The decimal system. The zero. Sushruta's surgical techniques, documented two millennia before Europe caught up. Pāṇini's grammar, a framework so precise that modern linguists still cannot fully replicate it.

These did not emerge from nowhere. They came from this land. What the world calls “progress” has Indian fingerprints all over it — and almost none of the credit.

Right now, multinationals are walking into global markets with Indian craftsmanship repackaged as their own innovation. Kolhapuri chappals, a GI-tagged sandal with centuries of lineage, sold as a “new silhouette.” Jhumkas, documented in temple sculpture and Mughal manuscripts, appearing in luxury retail as a fresh design trend, origin unmentioned.

This is not inspiration. It is the quiet, profitable erasure of origin, done in plain sight, with full legal cover, because the original inventors were never loud enough to stop it.
